These are some of the flowers that are blooming in the yard and they love every drop of rain that has fallen this year. We did a lot of yard work this last weekend, mowing, blowing, digging and transplanting. We had a fun dinner with Sandra, Paul, Nick and Mia. It was Nicholas 14th birthday and we celebrated with a cake, a great dinner cooked by Sandra and a wild and blustery rainstorm.

There are no dog beds by the fire. We have had dogs of some variety and temperament for 29 years. No more, our last dog died last week. It's very quite here!!

April garden

Ode to Spring...everything is waiting for the spring. I would love to plant seeds and dig and lay out a few hoses...but wait.

I have to remember that it snowed one year on David's birthday. May 3rd. We had a wonderful snow last Sunday. The bulbs are blooming and we have the beginnings of poppies.

Here are some tadpoles, very tiny on the leaf in the water. They will hatch out soon

Wahoo, I finally got a picture on my blog. This is Jessica at a wonderful taco truck. There were three, so I could have a choice of gourmet food on the side of the street in LA.
